Full-Priced Men’s Retail Site Launched By Gilt

Gilt Group launched Park & Bond as an addition to its growing e-retail empire. It is the company’s first venture which follows a different path from the 36-hour flash-sale model. Park & Bond does not sell designer duds that are discounted, rather, it offers a wide range of curated menswear, together with some extraordinary vintage watches or threads. The fashion here is all unique like a Paul Horton print.

Until 2011, Gilt has not made too much profit and focused on offering discounted services and goods. It also had included in categories like travel, home and fashion. In May of this year, it launched Gilt Taste, an unprofitable culinary magazine on the web that was given support by the company’s e-commerce offerings. The launch of the site had turned out to be more of a praised catalog.

A lot of fashion enthusiasts regard Park & Bond as even more frustrating. Its photos, which are not clickable, are laid in linear fashion. This shows how this site lags behind its competitor Mr. Porter. Men.style.com former executive editor Tyler Thoreson and GQ’s former multimedia editor Andy Comer had been leading names in the fashion industry; however, there’s obviously a degradation of their talents in this regard.

The shopping sections of the site appear like a catalog that anyone could think of. All in all there is not that much improvement that need to be done to the site and it works well especially since it has such a wide variety of goods and services.
