How often has someone, a close friend you trust, said “you should really read that!” Do you ever get around to it? Count yourself as in the minority if you have your hand up now; while watching a video on the computer is an easy thing to do, most people are just too tired (or bitter) after a hard day’s work, and the last thing they want to do – in the case of quite a few people I know at least – is sit down and read.
Sadly, while books are still popular with many, reading is loosing out more and more to video. And it’s hardly surprising. Even though I read an awful lot I have to admit that watching a video is often preferable.
Then we have energy saving. It’s almost impossible to get people who don’t read much anyway to read about that. Thankfully, though, some people are putting out videos on this important topic, and one of them can be seen at the following link.
And we’re not talking some shoddily thrown together piece of A Level course-work either, we’re talking good production quality combined with a real message: in other words, education. It’s companies like Enigin who are reaching people who before hadn’t had the opportunity to view and absorb such information.
There is another reason why video is so effective when conveying these messages: the pictures stick in the mind, they are there whether the viewer wants to see them or not. On video, a drowning polar bear just isn’t something that can be ignored by many.
